Jonathan Dominguez, LCSW
My name is Jonathan, and I go by Johnny. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the State of Oregon, #L11504. My professional background involves graduating with a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Montana in 2020 and moved to Oregon to pursue my professional career in the clinical realm of social work. I have been in the field since June 2020.
I have been working as a clinical social worker for 4+ years from outpatient crisis support to inpatient care for youth and families experiencing various mental health needs; suicidal ideation, self-harm; depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and other mood disorders. I have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults. The approaches I utilize are strength-based approach, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) techniques, goal setting and exploring/identifying coping skills.
I am passionate about helping LGBTQ+, BIPOC and other individuals discover their values, purpose, talents, and their support systems by partnering with them as they take important steps towards their future. I believe in a person-centered, holistic approach while providing individuals with the support and strength they need to navigate personal obstacles. I strive to provide comprehensive trauma informed care to ensure each client I work with feels safe and confident in their therapeutic experience. I am dedicated to developing a genuine relationship with you, my clients, where we can create a safe and welcoming environment to have difficult conversations, go through emotional exploration, improve/resolve conflicts, and experience your authentic self, including your pain.
